Ofloxacin

Drug class: Fluoroquinolones (antibiotics)

• Good tolerance of ofloxacin was observed and no severe adverse reactions were recorded in the complex therapy of acute inflammatory diseases of the uterus and uterine appendages.
• Ofloxacin monotherapy was effective and well-tolerated in the treatment of laparoscopically proven pelvic inflammatory disease (salpingitis) in a geographically diverse population.

Ornidazole 

Drug class: Nitroimidazoles (antibacterial)

• The antibacterial activity of ornidazole caused significant changes in rates of microorganisms (94.53% reduction) in root canal treatment.

Combination

• In the management of diarrhea and dysentery, a combination of ofloxacin with ornidazole infusion (infusion O2) significantly reduces the number of watery stools and associated symptoms like nausea, abdominal pain, and flatulence/gas with excellent tolerability.
